Oracle Cards for Divine Spiritual Guidance on Friday, 5.26.17

TGIF loves!

Like I may have mentioned, I’m doing all of my Angel Work from my newest healing space and the energy has become so amazing! I pulled from a variety of decks today, and here’s what we have…

1.) With the New Moon energy coming into play for a lot of people, it is said that we need to acknowledge our feelings of sensitivity.. Perhaps spend some time alone. Perform some much needed self-care… Yoga, sea salt baths, fresh fruits and veggies, energy healing (angelic reiki, preferably), massage, meditation, walking in nature, you know what I mean… Be patient and compassionate with others that may not realize what is happening at their level of awareness… It will all be okay, just treat yourself like you would your best friend. Or your daughter or son… Be kind and gentle with yourself. Take it easy…

2.) It was also stated that it could do you good by hanging out by bodies of water if you are able… If not, again, hop in a sea salt bath… That will help to clear any negative energies from your body… Lastly, if you’re in yucky rainy weather like I am, I would find some nature sounds of water to play during the day today… (I have a great free app that I use called “Nature Sounds -by Relaxio-” that I have playing on my phone as I am writing… Even if some of us can’t be near the water, the sound of water will help us to shift our vibration and stay in a calm and relaxed state!

3.) The Archangel Uriel card popped in today as well… He states that we know what we need to do… This one isn’t resonating with me personally, but perhaps it will with you! If you get the feeling that you do know what you need to do, just take one tiny step in that direction, as often as you can…

I’m going to do an Angelic Reiki healing session for myself in just a bit, so I’ll call on Uriel to give me some guidance… I have a lot of things up in the air, and honestly, I just don’t know what to do… Perhaps the energy today will help!

If you feel you are being tested by life keep moving forward. You are only being tested because you are now capable of handling it. Don’t lose your confidence! You can do this!

This card in particular indicates that you can or you like to possibly shake things up a bit, according to the level at which you are currently at. A lot of divine rebels struggle to follow the rules (I have pulled this card for myself in the past), and you are not meant to always do things the way others say you should. You may need to stand up and speak your truth. That can sometimes be frustrating to others that don’t understand.  You are divinely created to show others that there can be another way out, and all things should and can be challenged if you so choose. You can be here to break stereotypes!

I call upon the Crystal Angel of Pearl and Ascended Master Kuan Yin, who love me unconditionally. Thank you for the divine healing blessing of divine rebellion. I ask through your grace that I may always remember I am free to choose my own path, that I can respect tradition without being bound to it, and that I can honor the freedom of others to choose fear while I choose love. May I always have the courage to live as I see true, and inspire those ready to leave the system behind, to know there is another way to be. Through divine compassion and my own free will, so be it.

This card indicates that “descending power” is a powerful current of downward energy that allows for manifestation, for strengthening of the spiritual connection to the body, and bringing your light to the Earth. Most of the time we talk about energy rising, and encapsulating more of our light bodies as well as ascension. However, without the balance of downward energy we will feel lost and scattered.

“Notice the Signs” Spiritual Oracle Card for Monday, 2.13.17

Good morning Monday!

Today I decided to work with the Daily Guidance Oracle Cards because they are clear cut and to the point… So what messages have you been receiving? Has anything caught your attention and you wondered where it was coming from? Our angels send us signs all the time! I receive mine as numbers, like 333, 222, and 555, with an occasional 1212 or 1010 in there…

So pay attention to any signs you may receive today! The angels want us to know that we are totally supported, unconditionally loved, and we can call on them at any time for help!

“Spread your Wings” Oracle Card of the day!

I feel like I’ve been a little bit off the grid, and I apologize for that! It’s holiday time and there’s always lots of things that need taken care of, that’s for certain! But I at least wanted to get a card pulled for today, as late as it is here on the east coast!

Today’s card is “Spread your Wings” with Archangel Ariel… So I am wondering, what has been on your mind? What have your thoughts focused around? What is a goal that you have been thinking about? Today is the day to move forward… Any and every baby step will help you get closer to whatever it is that you desire! It’s a time to step out of your comfort zone. Take that step. Make that phone call. Send that email. Post that video. Whatever it is, you are ready to go and you will have some successful learning throughout the entire experience!!!

It’s funny, because as I was centering and grounding myself before I pulled this card I had a random idea come into my mind, so this is my sign to move forward, no matter how much it pushes me! So the same advice goes to you! Have faith. Believe in miracles. The time is right now!!!

6 Tips to keep your New Year’s Resolutions!

Are you ready for 2017? Do you have some resolutions set?

I’ve actually never been someone to set resolutions. When I was younger I would watch the people around me have these big, unachievable goals that they would never stick to…

This taught me that small changes over time lead to permanent results. I don’t really believe in deprivation or in misery when it comes to healthy eating or working out. If I don’t enjoy it I won’t stick with it and I believe the same goes for most others that I know as well…

That’s why over the last 6 years I’ve always been in some process of improving my nutrition, my exercise, my self-care, and whatever it is that I need at any given time… It fluctuates and it’s always a continuous process that never ends for me… Let me be clear though, that it’s not this unattainable goal that I will never reach. It’s simply striving to feel and look my best!!!

Here are some tips that I’ve learned and utilized with my friends and clients over the years:

  1. Be specific with your goals

For example, if your goal is to get in better shape you could state: 

  • I will work out for 30 minutes a minimum of 4 days during the week.
  • I will do cardio on Monday and Wednesday and strength on Tuesday and Friday. If I miss a day during the week I will make it up on Saturday morning before anything else.

If your goal is to eat better you could state: 

  • I will eat one serving of vegetables at breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • I will eat one serving of fruit for my afternoon snack.
  • I will spend Sunday afternoon cutting up fresh fruits and veggies to have them easily available to me during the week for meals.

2. Be reasonable with your goals 

For example, saying that you’ll never eat your favorite food again will lead to disaster… Instead you could state: 

  • You’ll have it less than you do now… So if you have it once a day, perhaps take that down to 2 or 3 days a week, after you’ve eaten your fruits and veggies for the day

If you don’t work out now but want to make fitness a part of your life I wouldn’t recommend stating that you’re going to work out for 60 minutes a day 6 days a week… Instead you could say: 

  • I’ll work out 30 minutes, 3 times a week
  • I’ll go for a short walk during my lunch break
  • I’ll set a timer to get up from my desk every 60 minutes and walk briefly around the office

3. Track your progress

For me, I used to track my food in an online app – SparkPeople was my favorite! And every once in awhile I’ll randomly track a day to just see where I’m at, but it honestly never changes! It’s still good to know…

I have a calendar on my desk here that I use to track my fitness so I can easily see where I’m at during any given week and when I need to pick it up a little bit!

I also can track on my SparkPeople account too, which is great for when I’m on the go!

So track somewhere that you are going to frequently see it, whatever this takes for you!

4. We all have bad days, just don’t give up! 

I’m sure you know that it takes a minimum of 21 straight days to make something a habit, but I would go as far to say at least 30 days… If something gets you off track one day, that’s okay, life happens.

Just get right back to it the following day to keep in that positive pattern. I can tell you from my own personal experience it gets easier over time. Just keep taking these baby steps to get you towards your goal. Every little step in the right direction counts!

5. Reward yourself! (This one is my favorite, of course)

Set yourself up with tiny rewards to keep yourself motivated! What interests you?

Did you manage to workout 4 days your first week? Go to a movie with friends!

Did you stick with working out 4 days a week for the entire month of January? Buy yourself a new pair of your favorite workout pants!

Did you hit your goal of eating a fruit and a vegetable at each meal during the week? Go get a manicure or pedicure!

6. Remember where you started (and celebrate)! 

I know it’s really easy to forget where we started or how much we’ve improved ourselves over time! I remind a lot of my clients to do this as frequently as I can! If you need to keep a little journal to write down your wins and look at it often!

I’ll use me as an example of the successes that I now remember to celebrate… 7 years ago, I followed along with how most other Americans fed their children… I saw numerous people (that I looked up to) feed their children Kraft macaroni and cheese and fake pancake mix  so I did that as well (for a very short time, mind you…)

The honest to goodness biggest struggle I’ve had on my journey was my husband. So over the last 6 years it’s been about baby steps for him to adapt to what I’ve learned and what I won’t compromise on. What does that mean for us?

  • We no longer buy fake syrup at the store
  • We no longer buy fake pancake and waffle mix
  • We no longer buy fake crescent rolls, biscuits, or cinnamon rolls
  • We no longer buy the pre-packaged oatmeal with trans-fats and horrible ingredients
  • I limit the dairy consumed by me and my daughter as much as possible
  • We buy chicken without added hormones and antibiotics
  • We buy only organic eggs
  • We only buy local, grass fed beef
  • We buy only organic products when they are pre-packaged
  • I make nearly all of her snacks for gymnastics
  • We don’t eat out at fast food restaurants
  • We make our own desserts so we know what is in our food
  • Our entire family exercises to keep healthy, strong, and fit
  • We do fun events like aerial yoga or bike riding, or walking trails together to make exercise fun

And the list goes on and on and on… Now did this happen overnight for us? HECK NO…!!!!!! All of these little steps took 6 years!!!  It was a really hard and challenging process, one of the hardest that I’ve ever had to go through!  But I can look back at where we started and now I can see that every tiny step is cause for a celebration! Every step improves our lives and that of our daughter. Everything that she sees now, she will take with her when she grows up.. And that makes it worth it.

How this path led me home…

I’m switching over to this blog, so I’m bringing along some of my favorites with me! So here goes! I hope it helps you on your path!

Have you ever wondered why you are here? What is your purpose? What is your path? My coach asked me this on Friday so I wanted to bring it into the light. To tell you the truth, I have spent most of my life wondering those very things about my path. I used to wonder why did I get to live? Why did I get to survive? My life didn’t really seem all that spectacular and it didn’t really make sense to me.

Just to give you a quick understanding of what I am talking about, here’s a little background:

I was raised in a very hateful environment, full of negativity and the most horrific psychological abuse I could ever imagine. That particular abuse was rampant and the rest doesn’t matter because the verbal part was the most detrimental to me. I was fed nothing but Diet Coke, McDonald’s (or any other fast food), Quaker granola bars, and packaged crap.

There came a point in my life when I was 17 that I knew I was sick. I even wrote in Religion Class my first week of my senior year that I was most fearful of having Cancer. Who says that at 17 years old???  But I ignored my intuition. I flat out refused to acknowledge it because I didn’t believe I could handle it. (But that is a story for another day). On Friday, September 13th at 4:20 in the afternoon my life changed forever while driving home from school. God must have decided that He’d had enough. He was going to both destroy and save my life all in that same day. I wouldn’t see it like that until many years later, but that’s what He did.

At 4:20 a car accident came that I shouldn’t have survived. An emergency open surgery on my stomach came to show that I had Stage 3, almost Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Disease Cancer. I couldn’t hide it anymore, once my spleen was removed and my neck showed my tumors from all of the anesthetics there was no going back.  Then the X-Rays and Cat-Scans came to show it throughout my chest as well. My whole entire world, the one that I was barely surviving as a seemingly normal person, was turned upside down.

I went through massive amounts of Chemotherapy (which I refused, by the way, but when you’re 17 you don’t get to make those decisions). I then went through Radiation. Obviously, while I don’t believe in these things, at least my body was strong enough to physically survive and for that I am grateful. Once I had made it through all of that I thought I had won. I had finally beat this disease. I would be able to live my life for real, for the first time ever. That was my goal, to walk away and be psychologically and physically free from all of the pain. But that wasn’t really the case.

Those drugs… Those machines… They destroyed my body from the inside out and I’m going to pay for that forever. Now I accept this and I am even grateful for it, but this took an extensive amount of work in my mind.  The years following my treatments, however, had the biggest impact on my life. I dealt with chronic fatigue and I had no immune system. I had a list of rules that I needed to follow, but no teaching on how to survive in my “new” and different body. I didn’t understand the impact of this disease until I had my beautiful daughter. I couldn’t keep up with her. I was too sick to do anything. I had no energy to play or enjoy memories with her…

One day I turned to nutrition information and I was absolutely hooked. A light went off. Everything started to make sense with my body. In 2011 I changed absolutely everything that I had ever known about nutrition. That took a long while, but I ultimately changed my life. I was able to play with my daughter. I had energy to keep up with her. I didn’t get sick for months at a time anymore. I lost 38 extra pounds that I had been carrying. I finally got to have the life that I had dreamed about having after I beat this disease.

Now, finally, I understand…. For the last several years I have been coaching friends on nutrition, eating for health, and to prevent all of these lifestyle diseases that Americans get. I’ve coached on weight loss. I’ve coached on family health and implementing good nutrition for children, who absorb absolutely everything they are exposed to. I coach on stress-reduction techniques, energy healing, intuitively guiding those that I work with to create their best lives possible. I work through exercise plans. I work on calming the mind and self-esteem. Forgiveness. Faith. Love. Letting go. Entrepreneurial Fears. And the list goes on and on and on…  I am a great cheerleader. I am also an accountability partner.

How lucky am I? I got completely thrown for a loop that I never thought I would make it out of… It took me 19 years to make it through and accept it. It took me that long to understand the purpose, appreciate it, and be grateful for my past. It’s made me strong. It’s made me a fighter. It’s taught me what I will and won’t accept in my relationships with anyone and everyone. It taught me how to be a good parent. I have an amazing breadth of knowledge.  I get the opportunity to help other people and teach them that they can live the lives that they were meant to. This is what I am here for.

This is where my path has led me. For that I will forever be grateful. Thanks for reading….
